  • For over 25 years, Katie has cared for people of all ages affected by mental health issues and substance use disorders with an additional specialty in trauma and loss. She graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently University of Louisiana at Lafayette) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Nicholls State University. She is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who treats patients in both urban and rural areas of Lafayette, Vermillion, and Iberia parishes. In addition, she provides services in short- and long-term psychiatric hospitals and substance treatment facilities. Katie is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where all patients receive individualized, trauma focused psychiatric care.

    Katie’s diverse experience in patient care and administrative settings has led to involvement in initiatives with Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Trauma Program, Office of the Governor, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Public Health, Bureau of Family Health Region IV, Lafayette Consolidated Government, law enforcement agencies, and multiple other state and local organizations. Her dedication to the future of nursing is reflected in her work as an adjunct professor for Nicholls State University’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.

    Katie’s devotion to family and community is evident in her volunteerism and advocacy. She is a founding board member and volunteer for The RescYOU Group, an organization which provides financial and emotional support to families who have suffered the loss of a child. You will often find her participating in mental health awareness events and injury prevention efforts throughout Acadiana. She has an active life with her three wonderful children and loves traveling to new places!

Kathryn Hebert, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner, Owner

  • Kathryn (“Katie”) Hebert is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She received her Master of Science degree in nursing from The University of South Alabama in 2009 and has experience working in inpatient settings as well as in private practice.  She is passionate about providing quality mental health care for those ages 18 + and enjoys working in the following areas of focus: depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. 

    Kathryn values a patient-centered approach and strives to create a safe nonjudgmental space where everyone feels heard, valued, respected, and empowered to navigate their unique challenges. She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience. Her comprehensive focus to care includes brief psychotherapy and prescribing mental health medications. She also believes in integrating lifestyle and nutritional support. 

  • Stephanie is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner treating mental health conditions including mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use disorders, and chronic mental illnesses including schizophrenia. Her approach to care is individualized, holistic, and unique to each and every patient.

    She offers medication management, psychotherapy and collaboration with therapists and PCP providers when needed to adolescent and adult populations.

    Stephanie also is the Louisiana South Central Regional psychiatric provider for Volunteers of America Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This organization provides community outreach to people with serious mental illness.

    After working as a neonatal and pediatric intensive care nurse caring for children and psycho-social needs of patients and their families she obtained a PMHNP degree masters in nursing at Nicholls State University.

April Gonzales

Candice Myers, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

  • Candice Myers is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong background in women's health. She began her journey in healthcare at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned her RN degree in 2010 and started her career in Labor & Delivery. Her passion for this patient population led her to pursue a higher degree, and she graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2014 as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

    Candice dedicated seven years to women's health before recognizing the need for better mental health care in her community. This realization motivated her to expand her expertise, and in 2023, she earned her degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University.

    Now at the start of her career as a PMHNP, Candice is excited to provide comprehensive care, addressing both physical and mental health needs in her community.

Michele Thibodeaux, LCSW-BACS

Social Worker

  • Michele Thibodeaux, a native of Vermilion Parish, discovered her passion for helping and listening to others from a young age. This innate curiosity and desire to support those in need eventually led her to pursue a career in mental health.

    She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from UL Lafayette and later obtained a Master of Social Work from LSU Baton Rouge in 2010. Over the course of her career, Michele has worked extensively with individuals diagnosed with chronic and severe mental health conditions. She has also served as Secretary of the local Acadiana Chapter of NAMI and is currently the President-Elect and Secretary of the Louisiana Association of Clinical Social Workers (LACSW), a board for licensed social workers in the state.

    Michele has been employed at a local inpatient psychiatric unit for the past seven years. Prior to this role, she gained experience at for-profit agencies, where she worked with individuals managing mental illness through daily outpatient group programs. In May 2022, she expanded her efforts by opening her own private practice, MMT Therapy and Wellness, LLC, located in Youngsville. Through her practice, she continues to provide personalized, one-on-one care to clients.

    Michele is excited to engage with others in discussions about personal development and aims to increase awareness and knowledge of mental illness and homelessness in the local community.

Simone Mestayer

Office Assistant

  • Simone Mestayer is a proud mother of two sons, two daughters-in-law, and grandmother to seven grandchildren, with another expected in April 2025. She has been a dedicated team member at ENSO for nearly two years, finding her work both rewarding and fulfilling. Simone values the opportunity to collaborate with the incredible women at ENSO, describing the experience as both inspiring and educational.

  • April Gonzales is married to Johnathon Gonzales, and together they have three wonderful children—one son and two daughters. She has been a valued member of the Enso Psychiatric team for two years, where she finds joy and purpose in working alongside a supportive and caring group of women she considers family.

    April is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others, striving to bring hope and smiles to those she serves. She views her work as a lifelong calling and feels honored to be part of a career that focuses on healing and transformation.

    Her guiding belief is: “It's never too late to ask for help. You are worth more than enough, and it's okay to not be okay. There is always light at the end of the tunnel for everyone. There is hope and healing for a new beginning, so let that begin today for you.”
